Parking consultation for Southall

Posted by James Gates on Sep 7, 09 05:26 PM in Local Authority

SOUTHALL residents are about to be consulted on a new proposal that could increase the availability of parking in the area.

More than 2600 surveys will be distributed to residents and businesses from this Friday asking whether 'dual use' parking bays should be trialled in eight roads near the Broadway and South Road.

The survey will go to those who live or work in the trial area and surrounding roads.

The eight roads, all within the Southall Broadway controlled parking zone, are currently restricted to resident permit parking between 10am and 8pm.

If supported by residents and businesses, the trial would last for 12 months during which time the council would monitor how the spaces are used and evaluate the trial's impact.

For further information, or to access the survey online, please visit www.ealing.gov.uk/consultations Surveys should be returned by 2 October.

We'd like to hear from you.
