'Dirty weekend' at Southall canal

Posted by James Gates on Jun 5, 09 03:22 PM in Good Causes

Thames21, London's leading waterways charity, will be running a free event at the Grand Union Canal by the Common, Southall tomorrow and Sunday from 10.30am - 4pm.

There will be activities suitable for all to get involved with including boat trips, fishing lessons, face painting, balloon modelling, and also the chance to get involved with litter and graffiti removal from the waterside areas.

The weekend is part of the BBC's Breathing Places initiative and is all about getting people involved in and enjoying their local waterway areas.

We'd like to hear from you.
