'Beckham' movie director guest speaker at Dominion Centre

THE DIRECTOR of Bend It Like Beckham will be among the speakers at a landmark event at The Dominion Centre in Southall later this month.

Gurinder Chadha, who filmed part of the smash hit film in the area, will be speaking at The Southall Story on Friday, April 24.

The free event will celebrate the community's achievements in heritage, art and society over the last thirty years.

Other speakers include Pragna Patel from Southall Black Sisters and Dalawar Chaudhry from Chaudhry's TKC.

There will also be live music, performance and dance.

The event takes place from 7pm till late at The Dominion Centre, The Green, Southall. Entry is free but by invitation only, Please RSVP by email on info@thesouthallstory.com.
